Francis Magalona passed away this March 6, 2009 at 12:00 noon.

Francis M. is best remembered with his composition "Mga Kababayan" - a rap about Pinoy nationalism. This song elevated OPM (original Pilipino music) to a higher level that even the alta sociedad has loved to listen to. Francis M is best know as the Master Rapper. His songs always express values like love, unity, and nationalism contrasting most raps that do not make sense. Francis M was also known as Kiko. His music and culture has been known as Francism, based on his name Francis M.
